This research installation revolved around the states of ‘looking at’ and ‘being in’. I wanted to know how one affected the other. How does an experience of something effect how we see? And how does what we see effect our experience? The installation created a situation where I could compare people’s responses to looking at a light installation when they themselves were immersed in a light situation that was either the same as or different to the one they were looking at, and use the two states to shape the experience of perception.

Exhibited at the Kunstvlaai: INexactly THIS. 2012
